Georgia is a nomad tax haven: territorial taxation means 0% tax on foreign income, visa-free for 1 year, low cost of living. The best deal in Europe for tax optimization.

Portugal is one of the most nomad-friendly European countries with its D8 visa and formerly generous NHR regime. The IFICI replacement is narrower but still attractive for qualifying professionals.

UAE offers the ultimate tax-free package: 0% income tax, multiple visa options, and 137 tax treaties. The high cost of living in Dubai/Abu Dhabi is the trade-off.

Colombia's DN visa is one of the most accessible (low income requirement, 2-year validity) and provides non-resident tax status. Medellín and Bogotá are popular nomad hubs.

Japan's DN visa is new and relatively restrictive ($68k income, 6-month max, no extension). But it provides tax-free status for foreign income. Best for short-term Japan stays.

Mexico has no digital nomad visa. Most nomads use 180-day tourist permits. If you become tax resident, worldwide income is taxed at up to 35%. Stay under 183 days or structure carefully.

Germany has no digital nomad visa and high tax rates. Not the most nomad-friendly, but EU citizens can live and work freely. Deregister properly when leaving.

Vietnam has no digital nomad visa and taxes residents on worldwide income. Most nomads operate in a gray area on tourist visas. Great cost of living but unclear legal framework for remote work.
